Data Holdings to Sponsor Summerfest Tech 2019

Data Holdings, Wisconsin’s Premier Data Center, is proud to announce its sponsorship of the second annual Summerfest Tech event, as well as its participation in a special panel discussion on Cybersecurity.

The two-day conference, to be held June 25 and June 26, is a unique opportunity to connect members of the regional business community, and highlight Wisconsin’s growing reputation as a vibrant technology center.

This year’s Summerfest Tech event will feature keynote presentations from local executives and technology influencers, including Dennis Hoffman, Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy at Dell Technologies, Sudhi Sinha, Vice President and General Manager of Digital Solutions at Johnson Controls, and two-time Grammy nominated producer and DJ, Steve Aoki. (Aoki is also a headlining performer at the Miller Lite Oasis Stag at 10 p.m., on June 26.)

Data Holdings executives will lend their technology expertise and insight in a special panel discussion on Cybersecurity slated for June 26.

“Less than half of companies globally are sufficiently prepared for a Cybersecurity attack” said Stacy England, Data Holdings Vice President of Operations. The five most cyber-attacked industries over the past five years are healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, government, and transportation. England notes that retail, oil and gas/energy and utilities, media and entertainment, legal, and education will continue to see increased Cybersecurity attacks through 2022.

Other panels and events at Summerfest Tech include Women in Technology and a Startup Pitch Competition.

Data Holdings is a Tier-III Enhanced Commercial Data center in Milwaukee’s Near West Side, where it offers colocation, cloud and web hosting solutions for organizations including heathcare, financial service, and Fortune 500 companies. This is the first time Data Holdings has served as a sponsor for the event.

In supporting the Summerfest Tech event, Data Holdings will join other local technology leaders in spreading the region’s influence beyond Wisconsin’s borders.

“Last year, nearly 80,000 tech workers in the Greater Milwaukee region collectively contributed more than $27 billion in regional economic impacts,” says Kurt O’Bryan, Chief Executive Officer at Potawatomi Business Development Corporation, the parent company of Data Holdings. “By supporting the Summerfest Tech event, igniting meaningful dialogue on the topic of technology, and by demonstrating a diverse and inclusive business environment, we hope to continue attracting great talent to the area, and send a signal to companies that Milwaukee is a formidable technology market.”
